ANOTHER FINE DAY FOR CAPITALISM (36” x 48”) Oil on cardboard, status ‘lost’

This very early painting (c. 1996) addresses Capitalist Imperialism at its worst. The soldier stands amid a pile of heads with his hand over his heart symbolizing his allegiance to “something.” The 007 on his forehead represents the involvement of the Intelligence Community in such endeavors. His colorful mask makes him a faceless killer and a symbol of people who make their living in this way. The eye on his hand represents a nefarious spiritual element which may be at play as well. Long since lost to the Ages, this cardboard painting (as with all paintings in this Archived Section) may be reproduced upon request or made as a print. Perfect to make a bold statement in your den at home or even your office at the university.
